Pride in Place Funding
Pendle Borough Council was awarded £1,500,000 from the Government as part of the Pride in Place Initiative. The fund was divided between the five towns listed in the table the allocation was based on the number of electors in each Town. The scheme was later amended to include the smaller villages within the Borough.

The allocation for the Barrowford & Western Parishes Area Committee remained at £192,934 and was open to Parish & Town Councils and local organisations but applications needed to meet one or more of three criteria within the Government Guidelines, there was also an expectation that some matched funding would be needed and that the deadline for spending the grant was the 31st March 2027.
Barrowford Parish Council was submitted 11 bids relating to Holmefield House, Barrowford Memorial Park, Victoria Park, Festive Decorations Gisburn Road and a Planter on behalf of the Barrowford in Bloom Group.
The total cost of the 11 projects was £192,934 with £154,122.68 being met by the Pride in Place Fund with the remaining £38,811.32 being funded by the Parish Council.

All three projects are progressing with the Community Notice board expected to arrive early October for installation. Quotes are in the process of being sought for both the kitchen and solar panels.
